Ranbir Kapoor Gears Up For Hardcore Action For The First Time; Will Pack A Punch With Ajay Devgn In Luv Ranjan's Next

Earlier, we brought to you the news about Rajneeti co-stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn coming together for Luv Ranjan’s next. While speculations were that the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety director will make yet another romcom with the two leading men. However, as per the report on Mumbai Mirror, the movie is set to be a big-budget action-thriller. We can’t wait to see Ranbir unleashing the hardcore action side of him.
A source close to the makers said, “Luv has been working on the script for almost two years now. The first draft of the script is locked, and the film will go on the floors by the year-end.” The source also revealed that the ye-untitled action-thriller will be shot in India and abroad. “It is mounted on a huge budget. Once the final draft of the script is locked, Luv will go on a recce. After that, he will finalise a stunt team that will be a mix of Indian and International action directors.”
While we know that Ajay slays the action genre, it will be interesting to see Ranbir Kapoor’s macho style. Ranbir is used to playing mostly coming-of-age characters. “He will be seen performing some stylish stunts alongside Ajay,” the source informed. Luv too will be exploring the genre for the first time after making a series of romcoms.
Wondering who will be the leading ladies for these men? Well, the makers are currently in talks with several A-list actresses to star in the two-hero saga. “The heroine also has a strong character,” the source revealed. Luv will also be producing the film and is looking at releasing it by Christmas 2020. The source concluded by saying, “As it is an action thriller, it will require a prolonged post-production.”
